The Militia Immaculata in Oshawa

For those members of the Militia Immaculata consideration is being given to set up an MI village in Oshawa. The Militia Immaculata also has a Franciscan orientation, in that it was founded by St. Maximilian Kolbe, a  First Order OFM Conventual Franciscan.

These “villages” are run by MI consecrated people and have a close connection with the MI National Center. The villages meet for prayer once a month, some every two weeks, and others every week. Each meeting starts with a renewal of one’s consecration, the recitation of the rosary, and a reading of St. Maximilian Kolbe’s writings followed by a discussion.

Village members also have some time for fellowship and learn from each other in how to live one’s consecration. They bond with one another quickly through prayer. The Villages are for all ages, with some specifically for the Youth and Young Adults.

In the case of an Oshawa MI village, the meeting would be once a month, considering the fact that SFO  members of the Militia Immaculata in Oshawa have a  primary commitment to their SFO fraternity. You do not have to be an SFO member to join the Militia Immaculata.

More information regarding the development of an MI Village in Oshawa will be made at a later date.
