The Walk of St. Francis

There is a revival of th traditional route from Assisi to Rome. This is the inauguration of the Via Francigena. This particular path was taken by St. Francis when at the beginning of 1200s, to see Innocent III, to obtain approval for the rule of the order he founded and is some 65 miles in length.
