The Archdiocese of Sydney has launched the 2012 version of the XT3 Advent calendar mobile app for Apple and Android phones. You can also use this on a regular computer if you do not have an Android or Apple phone. The app should be available for tablets, as well.
The purpose of this, is to reach out to youth and get them to participate in the four week Advent period leading up to the birth of Jesus.

On the first day of Advent the user will be able to unlock a door for each day day, leading up to Christmas. This will also continue until Epiphany. Users will be able to unlock a door for each day day, leading up to Christmas, but continues until Epiphany.
It's use is not limited to the youth. I recommend that all take a look at this.

You can not open the first door, until the First Sunday in Advent, so no cheating is allowed.
